15.4 Audit Log Protection

The system writes two forms of audit logs.

  • Physical File – Logs are saved into a plain text file at the data folder where its access is limited to the system account only. And the storage is protected with full disk encryption for unauthorized tampering.

  • Scribbler Audit Storage – A copy of the audit logs are forwarded to the Scribbler’s own audit storage. Which is a write once medium where the logs once saved cannot be altered. The underlaying disk is full disk encrypted.
