14.4 Example: Configuration - McAfee Threat Prevention – ePO

Add On Access Scan Exclusion for "Log Storage Folder"​

Note: Required only when On Access Scan is enabled.

Steps​

  1. Log on to the McAfee ePO server as an administrator.

  2. From the Policy Catalog, select Endpoint Security Threat Prevention as the product, then select On-Access Scan as the category.

  3. Click the policy, then click Show Advanced. If you haven't created a policy, click New Policy, type a name for the policy, then click OK.

  4. In the Exclusion area under Process Settings, click Add and define the following settings, then click Save:

    a. What to exclude

    • Pattern → C:\Syskey\Scribbler\Data
    • As the data folder path is customizable during the installation, it can be different based on the environment. Ensure that you provide the correct data folder path.
    • Enable Also exclude subfolders

    b. When to exclude

    • Enable both On read and On Write.
