15.3 Storage Capacity

  • The system uses its data folder location to securely store the audit logs. By default, the system preserves the last 60 days of logs. The systems storage requirements are more than sufficient for audit storage.

  • The system supports sending audit logs to its Log Collector interface, which uses custom-defined backup policies to securely store logs on a NAS for extended periods. Additionally, if log forwarding is enabled, the logs can be forwarded to a SIEM solution for advanced analysis and long-term storage.

  • The system generates warnings when log storage capacity reaches 80%. However, audit log collection to local files is not affected by this. The system always reserves storage for audit logs. In case this storage is also full, the system will not fail due to the inability to write audit logs, but it may fail for other reasons.
