14. Endpoint Security Configuration

The following Scribbler folders must be configured properly in the Endpoint Protection software like Microsoft Endpoint Protection, McAfee Application Control (aka Solidifier), McAfee Threat Prevention, McAfee Application Control.

Required Folder Configurations​

Log Collector Execution Folder​

  • Path: <Scribbler Installed Folder>\logstash-app\temp
  • Requirement: File executions should be allowed for this folder. This is primarily required for application control software like McAfee Solidifier or McAfee Application Control.

Log Storage Folder (aka Data folder)​

  • Path: <Scribbler Data folder>
  • Requirement: On Access Scan should be disabled for this folder.
